"SIMPLE PRAYER"
Finding the Heart’s True Home with Ed Allen
Americans today may spend less time in houses of worship than they once did, but many still regularly try to connect with God, according to new research on religious and spiritual habits. A recent national survey showed that 85% of Americans participate in some kind of spiritual practice, with the most common being prayer.
We today yearn for prayer and yet we hide from prayer. We are attracted to it and yet repelled by it. We believe prayer is something we should do, even something we want to do, but it seems like a chasm stands between us and actually praying. We experience the agony of praying just a little or not at all.
In this practical five-week series with live lectures from Ed Allen, we will learn how to close the gap between wanting to pray and actually praying. Topics to be covered include:
1. What is Prayer?
2. Why Pray?
3. How to Pray
4. When to Pray
