THE BAD BOYS OF EASTER with Andy Stanley
"Learning from the mistakes of three villains of Easter"
In the days and hours preceding the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, three men found their way into the story. Each refused to abandon his quest for control and surrender to the Savior of the world. How can we avoid the mistakes they made?
In the days and weeks preceding the first Easter, Caiaphas the High Priest stood in the presence of Jesus, the Savior of the world. But he refused to abandon his quest for control and surrender to his Creator. It's easy to dismiss Caiaphas as a fool, but, like him, what have we put in the place of God?
In the Easter story, Judas Iscariot tried to get Jesus to do what he wanted, without regard for Jesus’ mission. It may seem far-fetched, but there’s a little Judas in all of us.
During Jesus' crucifixion, two criminals were crucified with him, one on his right and the other on his left. One hurled insults at Jesus while the other begged for mercy. Which response might have been ours if we had been one of them?
