Pat Kennedy

Pat Kennedy is the owner of Kennedy Spine & Sport, a revolutionary physical therapy, rehabilitation and training facility in Sterling, Virginia.

At Kennedy, they believe in a holistic approach to health and wellness, taking into account the whole person, while addressing their physical, mental, emotional, and even spiritual needs.

As an overweight, unmotivated nine-year old boy from Massachusetts, Pat's parents persuaded him to join a local swim team. Not long after this, Pat was cut from the team and this bothered him greatly, so he began taking private swimming lessons. A year later, Pat re-applied to the team and was accepted. By age 12, Pat was the top 100-meter back-stroker in the country. Pat's initial failure and setback propelled him into success as a collegiate swimmer and later enabled him to compete in the 200-meter butterfly event in the 1984 Summer Olympics.

Pat's passion for chiropractic care began with a life-changing experience during his athletic career. After a training session where heavy weights fell on his chest, he found himself unable to turn his neck or catch his breath. Despite seeking help from top physical therapists, orthopedists, and neurologists, he found no relief. As a last resort, he visited a neighborhood chiropractor who miraculously fixed him up for free. This experience not only changed Pat's life but also has helped him restore the lives of countless athletes, families, sports teams, businesses, friends, and neighbors.

Now with over 30 years of experience as a chiropractor, Pat still approaches each day with excitement and belief in the amazing self-healing abilities of the human body. He believes that good posture, flexibility, balance, coordination, and strength are essential for optimal health and performance, not just for swimmers and all athletes, but for everyone.

Pat's mission is to help clients unlock their full potential and achieve optimal health, wellness and experience a joy-filled life.
